ABOUT ME

Elisabeth is an intuitive indigenous artist, born on Wiradjuri country NSW and residing and working on Kaurna Land, on the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula, SA.

Her practice includes painting and weaving with raffia and she holds weaving workshops with the purpose of knowledge sharing, slowing down and creating intentional community around this practice.

This year, Elisabeth was commissioned to weave a large scale basket installation used in Patch Theatre’s show ‘Superluminal’ which showed at The South Australian Museum during the Illuminate Adelaide program and for which they received a Ruby Award.

‘I create to connect with my culture, using both the information I have been taught in the physical world by my family and also knowledge passed through from ancestors on the other side and down my lineage’.
